As MattedBlues was a huge hit for the theme engine in CM7, we just had to port it to CM9. So far, it has taken a lot of work and was built from scratch. This is an initial beta and a work in progress, although most of the framework and system images are complete but will be tweaked down the road. We will be themeing third party apps in the coming weeks and soon this theme will be fully complete.


IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS (AND NOTES):

1. Open Settings app and click “Themes”

2. Apply MattedBlues

2a. If you get a pop-up about “missing assets,” just hit “apply anyway” as it’s not a big deal

2b. If you get an error about the theme being improperly compiled, simply APPLY STOCK THEME, REBOOT, THEN APPLY MATTEDBLUES

3. REBOOT!

Q: How to find more MagicLocker Themes?

A: You can press ‘More Themes’ button in ‘MagicLocker Setting -> Themes Tab’. Or search ‘mobi.lockscreen.magiclocker.theme’ in Google Market directly.


Q: How to install MagicLocker Themes?

A: After you install a MagicLocker theme app, you need to run the theme app and press ‘Install this theme’ button in the theme dialog.


Q: How to uninstall MagicLocker Themes?

A: You can long press a theme in ‘MagicLocker Setting -> Themes Tab’ then press ‘Uninstall theme’. Or go to ‘System Setting -> Applications -> Manage applications’ then find the theme App to uninstall as general App.


Q: Why the ‘Lost Robot’ theme can’t be uninstalled from MagicLocker?

Download the theme,go to settings/themes and APPLY THE SYSTEM THEME AND REBOOT. Now select FreshNClean & apply. You may get an error: ‘Sorry, this theme is missing assets for your device’s screen size’.


Ignore that and apply it anyway and REBOOT.


If you get an error the theme in not compiled correctly just apply the stock theme and reboot…apply FreshNClean and reboot…all will be good!!!


Look below for screens of the theme.


The lock screen and some system dialogs cannot be themed in the T-Mobile Theme Engine, therefore they will remain unchanged.


Also the Gallery icon on some roms isn’t themed, because there it is a known bug.
